Christopher Wansey, rector of St. Mary's, Woodford - was to be seen this morning fixing a unique banner outside his Church. The banner reads Have your Register Office Wedding blessed in Church.. No Questions. No Charge. No Snags'. It is intended to catch the eye of people who do not go to church but who want to be married in Church. Mr.Wansey refuses to marry couples who do not attend Church regularly - and he has admitted that he has not conducted a marriage service since July - even though 9, 000 people live in his parish.
