Rock n Roll and religion: Mobile Minsters use it in their mission: Sunday afternoon in the mining districts around Doncaster now ring to the sound of Rock n Roll coming from churches or church halls viisited by the mobile evangelists of the Methodist Church. Twenty six year old parsons Cyril Blount (former research chemist) and Brian Webb (ex-RAF) believe in getting a gimmick into religion and are succeeding in doubling congregations wherever they go. Operating from a mobile caravan home headquarters, they fun and games and Rock n Roll at which bot are exports and fans.They are travelling salesmen of religion commercial travellers with something to see and in which they believe with farvour and absolute sincerity. Every modern method is used by these two young men to make the people take to religion film shows, concerts. Free voice recordings, lively serious and intimate prayer meetings.
