Jul. 07, 1955 - Nun Sue Cardinal Griffin Says I was Locked Up'.. Alleges False Imprisonment and Assault. Miss Margaret McCann, 54 year old Nun who became a member of the Sisters of Nazareth in 1924, claimed damages in the Queen's bench division today, alleging false imprisonment and assault. Miss McCann's complaint was that she had been looked up in a mental home when there was no justification for suggesting that she had and unsoundness mind. Miss McCann is sueing Miss Winifred Collins, representing St. Joseph's Nursing Home, Burgess Hill, Sussex; Cardinal Griffin Archbishop of Westminster; Lord Howard of Glossop and Canon Arthur River as trustess of St. Andre's Hospital, Dollis Hill and Mother Placidus, local Superior of the Order of Sisters of Nazareth..
