Apr. 17 Inauguration of Peace Pagoda at Milton Keynes: Monks of the Japan Buddha Sangha, took part in the inauguration yesterday of the peace pagoda which they have built in two years on a hillside overlooking a lake at Milton Keynes, Bucks. The half spherical dome with octagonal roof and a decorative spire stands more than 50ft high. its roof tiles being copies of the classic tiles used for the Daian-ji temple in Nara, Japan.
