Apr. 17 Bible Reading on the Green: New Haven, Conn. - Bible passages were read aloud by Clerygy and Laymen from 11 A.M. to 6 pm in Downtown New haven during the second annual Bible Reading on the Green. The Program was sponsored by the New Haven Bible committee in cooperation with the local council of churches. Passages read were selected by Chaplains in a survey conducted by the American Bible Society. The Selections were chosen not only to provide inspiration but also to give the public an opportunity to find courage for the the present times.
