Apr. 17 Archbishop O'Hara Dedicates Waterfront Chapel: A new Waterfront Chapel, where dock workers and seamen may worship in their work clothes, was dedicated on a pier here by Archbishop John F.O'Hara of Philadelphia (second, left). The first mass was celebrated by Msgr. John E. Boyle, Archdiocesan director of the society for the propagation of the Faith. The chapel, built with voluntary labor, is constructed of prefabricated sheet iron and lined with knotty pine. Its Altar and pew are made of oak and it seats 112 persons. A Hand-carved Crucifix from Belgium tops the Altar. The new chapel replaces a crude, three-sided structure that has been used for about three years
