Apr. 17 Comics For The Choir: Fifty years old but modern-minded, the Vicer of St. Saviours, Guildford, allows his choirboys to read comics while he delivers his sermon. He is the Rev. Charles White, and he finds that his young choirboys, who might otherwise fidget and giggle during long sermons, are quiet as church mice given something to read. The comics are provided by the Vicer and the congregation, but the choirboys are welcome to bring their own favourites. And It Was Written That Desperate Dan Ate Cow Pie While the Rev. Charles White delivers his sermon from the pulpit his choir read their comics
