Apr. 17 The night 170 Nuns went on the Town: It wasn't exactly a conventional Christmas party but the nuns enjoyed it just the same. Altogether 170 of them whooped it up at a Sydney, Australia, night club. They sat through an uncensored performance of the club's floor show, then tucked in to dinner wile the scantily clad showgirls dropped by for a chat. Club manager Ron Jones explained: It's the club way of saying thanks to these people to do so much for the poor, the sick and the old.'The nuns were given gifts of fruit, cakes and Christmas pud - and a kitty to spend on the club's fruit machines. None of them won a jackpot. Buy they didn't mind. They don't dig the gambling habit
