Aug. 08, 1960 - Buddhist Monk Arrives: Burmese Buddhist missionary, Baikhhu Thiri Maha Shwebo U Arthapha, pictured at Liverpool yesterday when he arrived from Burma on the Norwegian ship love Lilian. He later left for London where he is staying with friends in Brixton. Mr. Arthapha, who was to have been a guest of the Foreign Office from September 22nd, arrived earlier and said by Sept. 22nd, he would be not be here, as he intended to get beck on the Tove Lillian when she arrived in London in a week's time, and go to Denmark, Norway and other countries. My mission, he said, is to preach peace and charity in his unfriendly world'. I shall be able to do this on the cargo with may lantern slides and literature
