May 05, 1967 - Reconciliation Church in Dachau was Inaugurated: On the ground of the former concentration camp Dachau was inaugurated by the Council Chairman of the Evangelical Church of Germany, District Bishop D. Hermann Dietzfelbinger, a new reconciliation church on April 30th. The church was built by the Evangelical Church in Germany, together with Evangelical Christian people of other countries of the East and the West, in remembrance of the victims of the National Socialsm. It was given to the protection of the Bavarian district church by the Vice Council Chairman Bishop D. Scharf. Photo shows the handing over the key; (f.l.t.r.) in the foreground: Bishop D.
