Bible - Cardinals - Churches - Monks - Nuns

Jul. 07, 1966 - The Last Hermit of the Ravarian Metropolis: This Russian Monk Piotr Timofei, considers himself as the first victim of Munich's New Olympic center, His little church and his place of residence, situated at a little hill in Munich. His Church will have to come down owing to the next Olympic Games which will be held in Munich in 1972 and as the church is on the site on which the games will be held it will have to be pulled down. He came to Munich over 20 years ago with his sister Natascha, and built the church himself where he prays for the victims of the war and the peace of the world. Three times a day he rings a little bell to announce the prayer church. The ceiling is covered with tinfoil, the candles and pictures are gifts from neighbors, flowers and plants are cultivated by him. Photo shows the 85 year Hermit Piotr Timofei in the church that he built and will have to be pulled down to make way for the Olympic Games in 1972
