Feb. 02, 1968 - American Roman Catholic Priest now married to former nun goes on television in Support of moves to relax the celibacy laws of the Church: An American Roman Catholic priest, now married to a former nun, last night went on National Television in support of moves to relax the celibacy laws of the church. The priest, who migrated to Australia from the United States last May, has appealed to Rome to recognize his marriage. The priest is Dr. William Dickerson, 47, who lives with his attractive wife, Sandra and three months old daughter, Shannon in the outer Sydney suburb of Denistons. Dr. Dickerson was a Beneogwaine priest for 27 years and his wife a nun for seven years. The couple come to Australia form America 10 months ago and a daughter, Shannon was born to last December.
