Jul. 07, 1970 - Roman Catholic Mass At Canterbury Cathedral: The first Roman Catholic Mass to be celebrated in the precints of Canterbury Cathedral for 400 years, was celebrated today by the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Southwark, the Most Rev. Cyril Cowderey, to commemorate the 8th. centenary of the martyrdom of St. Thomas A Backet, Archbishop of Canterbury. Banner-carrying militant Protestants, led by the Rev.
