Bible - Cardinals - Churches - Monks - Nuns

Apr. 21, 1971 - Thanks to the Preservation Society that renovated the organs in the Chartres Cathedral, founded by Mr. Pierre Firmin-Didot, the enormous instrument will resound again with its 5000 pipes which have been reduced to silence since the last war. The President will oversee the inauguration ceremonies of the new organs on the 5th and 6th of June. Pierre Firmin-Didot is pictured sitting at the keyboard of the organ in the Chartres Cathedral
