Nov. 11, 1973 - Minister Gives A Real East End Thank You To His Friends. The Rev. John Pellow today took over Tubby Isaac's Eel Stall in Aldgate, and despite his dog collar, he donned Tubby's serving apron and dished up bowls of jellied eels as an East End type thank you to his friends who helped with his book - With a Little Help from My Friends - published today by Allen Lane. They allowed themselves to be interviewed for hours on end so that the 41-year-old minister's book could give a true picture of three generations of East Enders. I could not think of a better East End thank you than a free session at a jellied eel stall, said John Pellow. Keystone Photo Shows:- The Rev.
