Canon of Ripen, was consecrated Bishop of Bristol by the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr. Coggan today in Southwark Cathedral. Canon Tinsley has occupied the Chair of Theology at Leeds University since 1962, previously having held pastoral appointments in the Northern province.
