Jul. 24, 1978 - 450 Bishops At Lambeth Conference: 450 Anglican bishops from nearly 100 countries arrived in Canterbury for the Lambeth Conference over the week-end. The conference which takes place very 10 years at the invitation of the Archbishop of Canterbury, starts work today, when it breaks into three sections to consider the theme Today's Church in Today's World'.
