Sep. 09, 1980 - Inauguration of Peace Pagoda at Milton Keynes Monks of the Japan Buddha Sangha, took part in the inauguration yesterday of the peace pagoda which they have built in two years on a hillside overlooking a lake at Milton Keynes, Bucks. The half spherical dome with octagonal roof and decorative spire stands more than 50 ft high, its roof tiles being copies of the classic tiles, used for the Daian ji temple in Nara, Japan.
