Aug. 27, 1984 - Friar Berthouzoz leaves hospice on the Great Saint Bernhard Pass: Friar Alphonse Berthouzoz (our picture) has spent more than 25 years of his life in the hospice on the Great Saint Dernhard pass (Swiss canton Wallis) in about 2400 m over sea level. Now, the 62 old monk is leaving his outstanding home. He will work as a priest in Bourg St. Pierre in only 1600 m over sea level
