Jul. 07, 1954 - Veteran French cyclist starts his parewell run ride in Hyde park: Rene Menzies, the French-born veteran, started on his last long-distance ride in Hyde Park this morning before he retires. Nensies who is 65, will lap the park for six days, and stay in the saddle for 18 hours a day. At the end of the run he hopes to have to have brought up his total mileage to 100, 000 miles.
