Jul. 07, 1954 - Veteran French Cyclist starts his farewell run in Hyde Park: Rene Menzies, the french-born veteran, started on his last long distance ride, before retiring in Hyde Park this morning. His cycling will then be for pleasure only. Menzies, who is 65 will lap the Park for six days and stay in the saddle for 18 hours a day. At the end of the run be hopes to have brought up his total mileage to 100, 000 miles. Photo shows Rene Menzies starts off on the first lap of his ride in Hyde Park this morning
