Jan. 01, 1959 - Cyclist plays his way around the world: Petrus Jericho Loemakeki, of Malang, Idonesia, 30 years old, married and a father of three children, is cycling his way around the world and paying for it as he goes by playing on his guitar. A former airways booking clerk, he has already pedaled his way through such places as Central Asia, Asia Minor and Europe. His toughest going so far, he says, was the Khybur Pass and the deserts of Iraq. More pleasant experiences have been a blessing from Pope John in Rome and a pilgrimage to Lourdes. He plans to cross the Atlantic by ship for the United States and Canada. A year from now when he expects to be home again he hopes to have included Australia and Japan.
