Driven by racer Ron Skarin, it holds the top speed record for two wheelers not led by a pace car. The odd contraption called a Teledyne Titan covered a one mile course in nearly 41 mph. It has also hit 43 miles per hour. The bike shell was designed by Dr. Richard Kyle of Long Beach College
