Jan. 01, 1983 - Around the World with a Rather Special Bike: 26 years old French teacher Casimir Butryn from Rocroi (France) is on his way to travel around the world with a rather special bike. In order to have more power he replaced the handle-bar of his bike by pedals. So he use the arms to drive the front wheel, with the legs the back wheel. It seems to work, as Casimir already made some 15, 000 kilometres since leaving France nine months ago and he managed to cross the Sahara that way. He was pictured mid-June passing Mamfe town in the South West Province of Cameoron - observed by rather astonished inhabitants of the town
