Black soldiers demonstrate against early discharge, Paris
Jan. 01, 1966 - They want to stay in the army: A group of black soldiers from French Guinea held a demonstration before the Elysee Palace in Paris this morning. Enlisted in the French Army in 1958 under a fifteen-year contract they are now being discharged before the expiry of the contract. The demonstration was held in protest against the early discharge.
