Dec. 14 23rd September 1981 Powerboat Lady receives Segrave trophy Lady Arran, the first woman to achieve 100 mph on water was today presented with the Castrol Sponsored Segrave Trophy at the RAC Club. She is the first woman to receive the award for outstanding skill and courage on land, water or in air since New Zealand airwoman Jean Batten, in 1936, and only the third in all, the other being Amy Johnson. In August last year 62 year old Lady Arran became the first woman to break the 100mph barrier at Lake Windermere. Photo Shows: Lady Arran with the Segrave Trophy at the RAC club today
