1964 - The Battling Sails In The Bay.: Trials are being held in Weymouth Bay to decide who shall have the chance to race for Britain against America for the America's Cup next September. The present trails are between Sceptre, Britain's last unsuccessful challenger, and the new boat Sovereign, each with a crew of 10, from whom 11 will be chosen to crew Sovereign.
