Jul. 07, 1966 - The First Two-Handed Round-Britain Sailing Race Set off From Plymouth: Out from Plymouth sailed 16 vessels bound on a 2, 000-mile trip around Britain. They set off in the first two-handed Round-Britain Sailing Race for a trophy and a prize of £1, 000. Some of the boats have been specially designed for this particular race.
