Aug. 08, 1966 - Lone yachtsman sets off on race round world Mr. Alec Rosy, 58, a Portsmouth greengrocer, set out from Portsmouth today, in his 30 ft. yacht Lively Lady to sail round the world, with only one stop, Australia, which he hopes to reach before the racing marathon expert, Mr. Francis Chichester, who plans to set off in two weeks time in his new 53 ft. yacht, Gipsy Moth IV. They will follow the old racing clipper route to Australia, stopping at Sydney for a short rest. There was a slight mishap as he started, when Lively Lady ran aground.
