Jul. 07, 1968 - US Yacht Ondine wins Atlantic Race After 22 days of sailing 3500 miles across the Atlantic, the US-owned yacht Ondine won the race from Bermuda to Travemuende, Germany. 34 sailing yachts from various countries had participated in this contest. The Ondine which was highly favored, won the Cup of the German Chancellor. Our photo shows the happy crew of the winning Ondine aboard their boat after arrival in Travemuende
