1969 - Dinghies race on the Thames.: Thousands of Londoners today saw at flotilla of sailing dinghies racing along the Thames, when the South Bank Sailing Club - County Hall's own sailing club staged the third John Cope Cup race from Putney to County Hall, Westminster, and back. Photo shows view as the sailing dinghies pass the Houses of Parliament on the way back to Putney on the second leg of the race
