1969 - Ford's Aim For Powerboat Honours Ford has formed an offshore powerboat team. It will compose four Fairey Huntsman twin turbo-charged diesel power-boats, and their main target will be the Daily Telegraph BP Round Britain power boat race starting on July 26the from Portsmouth. One will be skippered by Lady Aitken, wife of Sir Max Aitken, chairman of the Beaverbrook Newspapers, and another one will be skippered by Peter Twiss, a former test pilot.
