Boat Racing

Sep. 09, 1974 - Chinese Oxford and Cambridge': Two dragon boats carrying fifty paddlers each, get set for the starting-gun in Aberdeen, a fishing village of Hong Kong for their annual race, one of the festivals of the Chinese calendar. Before the race commences, eyes are painted on the dragons heads which decorate the bows of the boats so that the dragons can see where they are going. In the center of each boat stands a man beating a drum to control the pace of the paddlers. After the race the crews are regaled with rice wine and mooncakes
