Mar. 03, 1954 - Britain newest liner starts on her maiden voyage to Australia The Orsova, Britain newest liner and the ship with the Welsh bonnet funnel, left Tilbury yesterday on her maiden voyage to Australia. Just after she left yesterday 1, 000 passengers were asked, by card, to call at the purser office. Each was given a 10 percent passage money rebate. It was the Orient Line way of apologizing because the whole of the Orsova is not yet ready for occupation. Photo Shows: Off on her maiden voyage to Australia, the Orsova drifts through the ferryboat smoke at Tilbury yesterday
