1963 - Artificial Atoll for Baltic Seaside Resort Travemunde Set into the Sea by a crane...... is here in Hamburg/FRG this large sized island! The artificial atoll will be hauled through the North Baltic Sea Channel to Travemunde. About 200 metres far of the beach it will be anchored for the pleasure of holiday makers. The circular island with four decks has a diameter of 27 metres (out side); besides of an awning with dressing cabins, there is a restaurant with a bar and inside of the atoll it exists a sea water swimming pool with a diving boards. There are also a lot of berths for sporting boats. According to information by the producer this is the greatest ever built float in the world, made of plastic material and there are already interested parties in the Orient, as well as in Netherlands and Great Britain.
