Mar. 03, 1953 - Poland Holds Danish Ships: Poland has seized Danish fishing boats with 30 Danes aboard, in Hela Bay, near Danzig. The fishing boat Thailand, which was seized with the others, broke away, and arrived back at Bornholm, the Danish island, today. No official statement on either side has linked the seizure with the detention of the Russian-built jet fighter whose Polish pilot asked for political asylum in Denmark, but Bornhelm fishermen said it was a reprisal.
