Mar. 03, 1953 - Poland holds Danish Ships: Poland has seized six Danish fishing boats with 30 Danes aboard, in Hela bay, near Danzing. The fishing boat Thailand, which was seized with the others, broke away, and arrived back at Bornholm, the Danish island today. No official statement on either side has linked the seizure with the detention of the Russian-built jet fighter whose Polish pilot asked for political asylum in Denmark, but Bornholm fisherman said it was a reprisal.
