Mar. 14, 1953 - TITO Reaches Thames Estuary: The Yugoslav training ship Galeb, bringing Marshal Tito on his state visit to London, rounded North Foreland, into the Thames Estuary today. She will reach her anchorage in the mouth of the Thames this afternoon and will continue up the Thames to Greenwich tomorrow. At Greenwich, Tito will board the port of London Authority chief Harbourmaster's launch Nore, to complete the journey up river to Westminster Pier, where he will be received officially by the Duke of Edinburgh.
