Mar. 03, 1950 - Ancient Spanish Galleon Believed To have Been Bound On The Bed of Tobermory Bay. The remains of the ancient Spanish Galleon Duque de Florence is thought to have been discovered by divers on the bed of Tobermory Bay - Mull. They have been searching for the past few weeks for the Galleon which was sunk in 1388. The Duke of Argyll has a charter entitling him to the treasure believed to be in the Galleon.. and which is thought to be in the region of £30, 000, 000.
