Aug. 08, 1954 - TWO MEN ESCAPE FROM THE SAVAGE SEA IN THEIR 30-FOOT YACHT. Two man clung to their 30-ft. yacht as the waves hurled it towards the sea wall at Eastoke, Hayling Island, Hampshire, yesterday. Ropes were thrown as bugh waves bore the yachy in and the two men scrambled to safety. A few seconds later the boat was wrecked. Photo Shows: Crowds watch the rescue attempt from the sea wall
