Aug. 17, 1954 - Polish Training Ship Enters The English Channel: The Polish three-masted barque Dar Pomorza, of 1, 561-tons, north-bound in the English Channel, yesterday passed Dungeness, Kent, skirting the British three-mile limit. Meanwhile the Russian training schooner Alfa, which has been causing jitters to the Soviet Admirality, caused by her five days silence, put into Flymouth Sound at midnight, with all ban lights ablaze.
