Feb. 02, 1953 - Floods - At Sheerness Docks. Frigate On Her Side - Submarine Sinks. Keystone Photo Shows:- Aerial view showing the scene at Sheerness Docks - showing a frigate lying on her side half-submerged. Bottom - left hand corner is the spot where the submarine Sirdar sank. Heavy dockside equipment has been scattered along the splintered planks and shattered crates. This was part of the damage left by the heavy waters.. The Sirdar was the craft used in the film Morning Departure
