Sep. 09, 1954 - The P. and O. liner Iberia moves out on her Maiden voyage.; The new 29, 500 - ton P. and O. liner Iberia moved out majestically towards the river Thames estuary on her maiden voyage to Australia yesterday. She cost ?6, 000, 000 and carries 1, 400 passengers. The first vessel ordered by the Peninsula company in 1837 had the same name, but her cost was ?22, 000.
