1953 - The ancient warship goes around near the Menai suspension bridge: The 114 year old Conway former 92 gun ship of the line, ran aground yesterday near the Menai Suspension Bridge, when on her way to Birkenhead for refit. Hundreds of people on the bridge saw the ancient vessel as she became fast. An attempt to reflect her last night failed.
