May 05, 1954 - The launching of the first Chinese ship: The first ship of the people republic China was launching from the Kiangnan-wharf in Shanhai. It is the 1500 BTR ship with the name Mintshung'. There are a dining room, a barber shop, a library, showers and a medical station on the Mintshung'. It will drive on the Yangtse - river between Shanghai and Tschungking
