May 05, 1954 - British submarine returns after being Lost for over an hour. The navy signal Subsmash one was given yesterday - when the submarine H.M.S. Scorcher failed t answer singles after diving during exercises of rotland bill. Salvage vessels - carriers - planes and helicopters stood by to go to her aid, An hour and fourteen minutes later the message was cancelled then the sunmarine surfaced.The skipper Lieut.
