Jun. 28, 1953 - Pavillion d'Or 1953 The tenth Pavillion d'Or took place in 1953. The moniker is the name for the largest international motor-boat race. Forty participants came from all over Europe to D?sseldorf in order to take part. The smallest participant was a yacht which came from Finland and started in Helsinki. It was 5.65m and manned by two people and needed seventeen days to make the trip of 1, 530 nautical miles. The winner was the yacht Peter Duck with it's owner Vilen.
