Jul. 07, 1953 - Young New Zealand Naval Lieutenant to sail 39 ft Yawl back to New Zealand; Lieut. Benjamin Pester, aged 29, of the Royal New Zealand navy has been on a couse in this country and is going to sail to his home in a 50 year old 39 ft. Yawl Term II'. Special leave has been granted to him and the journey is expected to take about nine months. His is taking one assistant with him.
