Jan. 01, 1954 - Ship of a thousand Romances makes last trip: The Australian dubbed her the ship of a thousand romances the graceful 21, 000 ton P and O liner Mooltan, left Tilbury today and her last journey to the brakers at Clyde. The liner went into service between London and Australia in 1923. Photo shows it will also be the last trip for Commedore Chief Engineer James Mitchell Andrews, who joined the skip 30 years ago on her maiden voyage seen aboard the liner at Tilbury today. After 41 years at sea, 10 of them in the Mooltan, Mr. Andrews is retiring
