Aug. 04, 1954 - Admiralty Salvage Organisation work on lifting French Destroyer in the Clyde. The Admiralty Salvage Oraganisation are now working on what is probably their largest lifting operation they have tackled. It is on the French destroyer ?Maille Breze? which sank in the Clyde in 1940 owing to explosion of her own torpedoes. The lift is one of about 3, 500 tons and is being carried out by two 1, 200 ton and two 750 ton Admiralty Lifting Craft with thirty six nine inch hawsers under the hull of the vessel.
